Bandipora: 44 out of 111 severe symptomatic patients on Oxygen support | KNO

Bandipora, May 20 (KNO): In this North Kashmir's Bandipora district, 44 out of 111 Covid-19 positive patients are on oxygen support and are being treated in three different Covid care hospitals of the district. Official figures available with news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), revealed that the total number of active cases in the district stands at 1142 out of which 111 patients are undergoing treatment in three different Covid designated hospitals. It reveals it that around 44 positive patients were on Oxygen support of which five are being treated in Pazalpora-level-II hospital while 11 in Community health center Hajin and 28 are being treated at DH-(level-III) Bandipora. The official figure also revealed that there are also 1028 positive patients who have undergone self-isolation at home and are being checked continuously by a health team It said that there are 1142 active Covid positive cases in the district as on date out of which 1028 patients are under home isolation while 111 severe symptomatic patients are under Hospital Isolation where due care of them is being taken by the medical staff. Meanwhile, officials said that the level-III Covid hospital has reported seven Covid casualties since it was notified as Covid hospital. "We have more facilities available in the district than last year but we just need people's Cooperation as the situation is under control, People just have to be careful," he said. He said there are 15 containment zones having a population of 5854 out of which 5023 persons have been tested so far. Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Dr Owais Ahmad said that they are working on a war footing basis to break the chain of transmission of coronavirus infection in the district and necessary measures are being taken in this regard. Dr Owais said that the recovery rate in the district has increased from 84 percent to 96 percent from past few days while the positive rate is 6 percent in the district. He said more than 6328 persons have recovered so far from the disease out of the 7552 positive cases in the district. The DC Bandipora said there are 1142 active positive cases as on date in the district Dr Owais said that district administration is working on a war footing basis to break the chain of transmission of coronavirus infection in the district and necessary measures are being taken in this regard—(KNO)
